Bont Vaypor SL Shoe - Standard

The Bont Vaypor SL Shoe - Standard was designed around one question: how much weight can you remove from a top-tier road racing shoe without sacrificing the stability and power transfer that serious racing demands? The answer is more than 80g per pair over the previous Vaypor S — a reduction of over 15% — achieved through an all-new carbon construction and Durolite upper, while retaining the anatomically-correct fit system that distinguishes Bont from conventional cycling shoe design.

The foundation is an all-new unidirectional carbon fiber sole built from Toray of Japan carbon fiber, featuring a lowered forefoot profile that improves natural foot positioning through the pedal stroke and accommodates a broader range of foot shapes than earlier Vaypor models. Closure is handled by a dual-dial BOA® Li2 Fit System — two independent dials let you micro-adjust tension across the forefoot and midfoot for a secure, consistent hold that stays put across full efforts and long days.

The Durolite upper keeps overall weight in check without compromising Bont's anatomical construction principles. The Vaypor SL carries the same design features found across the Bont lineup: an anatomical forefoot shape that allows the toes and metatarsals to spread naturally and prevents the nerve compression that causes hot foot; medial arch support to stop overpronation and unwanted knee tracking; and an anatomical heel cup that stabilizes the foot during the pull-up stage of the pedal stroke. Like all Bont road shoes, the Vaypor SL is heat moldable, letting you further customize the fit to your specific foot shape. The Standard width is one of four off-the-shelf options — alongside narrow, wide, and Asian fit — with 19 sizes in 5mm increments from 36/4 to 50/14.
