Bjorn Kort Saddle Info
Bjorn Kort Saddle is a short-nose road saddle built around a full carbon shell with triangular reinforcement underneath, which stiffens the platform for power transfer without adding weight. At 117g, it's one of the lightest saddles you'll put on a road bike, and the 7x9mm carbon rails insert directly into reinforced slots in the shell rather than bonding to a separate cradle, giving the rail interface more strength than a typical bonded design. The 220mm length and short-nose profile cut down on inner thigh rubbing in a forward-leaning position, while the shape still works for a more neutral road posture.
Comfort comes from a 3D-printed pad with multiple firmness zones, which absorbs road vibration differently across the saddle depending on where you're loading it, rather than relying on a single uniform foam density. Bjorn builds the Kort by hand and tests it around real-world riding rather than chasing a specific sanctioning body's certification, which is part of why the saddle skews toward aggressive positions used in road racing, gravel, triathlon, and time trial. It's rated to a 120kg combined rider and gear weight. At $509, this is a dedicated performance saddle for riders who spend most of their time in the drops or on the hoods in an aggressive position and want the lowest weight they can get without giving up support.
