3T ARX II Team Stealth (+/- 6 Degrees) Stem Info
There are few parts on a professional’s bike these days that are not made from carbon, but the stem is very often one of the places where even the pros want to stick with aluminum. And when you can find great alu stems like the 3T Arx II Team Stealth Stem, who can blame them?
To keep things light and durable, 3T uses aluminum 7075 T6 to make the Arx II Team Stealth Stem. They have gone for a slightly more sculpted look if you are comparing this to an earlier version of the Arx stems. But perhaps the biggest change is the use of a single M7 bolt that clamps the stem to the fork steerer. It is a Torx-type bolt to fit everything more securely without putting unwanted stress on your steerer tube. It fits 1-1/8 steerer tubes, and has a stack height of 40mm. With the CEN certification, you can be certain that you have one of the best performing, lightweight stems on the market.
Even though this is an alloy stem, it hardly gains any weight in comparison to its carbon brother. Weighing just 125 grams in a size 110, we’re talking an increase in grams that can be counted on two hands, even throwing away a few fingers. It is available in 10mm increments starting at 80mm and running through 130mm lengths. The +/- 6-degree angle option, which will give you an 84-degree rise, will let you find your perfect positon.
What you’ll really love about this stem is how great it is to stare at when you are hammering your pedals. The “Stealth” portion of the stem is that instead of the usual red graphics you get on the Arx Team stem, you’ll have an elegant matte black finish, which will make sure that your stem will never clash with your bike color scheme.
With the 3T Arx II Team Stealth Stem you will have the lightweight performance you crave with the durability you require.
