Anniversary Card
The short version: Buy a bike from us between September 1 and September 30, 2026 and we send you a gift card worth about 10% of the bike. It arrives by email within 30 days of your bike being delivered, it's good for six months, and it spends on anything we sell — parts, apparel, service, a fit, even shipping. You don't have to sign up, ask, or enter a code. If your bike qualifies, the card is already coming.
We're fifty years old this year. We don't discount — we never have — so instead of cutting a price we're giving you something to come back for. The rest of this page explains exactly how the amount is figured, so there are no surprises in October.
How much you get
The card is figured off the bike's list price, in $1,000 bands. Take the thousands figure, multiply by $100, and add $50:
A $12,400 bike → 12 × $100 + $50 = $1,250
That works out to almost exactly 10% every time. Every band is centred on 10.00% at its midpoint, and the whole ladder stays between 9% and 11.25% — so there are no cliff edges and no bracket you just missed.
| Bike price | Your card |
|---|---|
| $4,000 – $4,999 | $450 |
| $5,000 – $5,999 | $550 |
| $6,000 – $6,999 | $650 |
| $7,000 – $7,999 | $750 |
| $8,000 – $8,999 | $850 |
| $9,000 – $9,999 | $950 |
| $10,000 – $10,999 | $1,050 |
| $11,000 – $11,999 | $1,150 |
| $12,000 – $12,999 | $1,250 |
| $13,000 – $13,999 | $1,350 |
| $14,000 – $14,999 | $1,450 |
| $15,000 – $15,999 | $1,550 |
| $16,000 – $16,999 | $1,650 |
| $17,000 – $17,999 | $1,750 |
| $18,000 – $18,999 | $1,850 |
| $19,000 – $19,999 | $1,950 |
| $20,000 – $20,999 | $2,050 |
| $21,000 – $21,999 | $2,150 |
| $22,000 – $22,999 | $2,250 |
| $23,000 – $23,999 | $2,350 |
| $24,000 – $24,999 | $2,450 |
| $25,000 and up | Formula continues |
Above $25,000 the formula simply continues — a $30,000 build earns $3,050.
When it arrives, and how long you have
- It's emailed to you within 30 days of your bike being delivered. Not at the register and not in the box — it's a rebate, so it comes after the bike is actually in your hands.
- You have six months. The expiration date is printed on the card itself.
- It spends on anything we sell — wheels, apparel, components, a professional fit, service, and shipping. In store, on the phone, or online.
Everyone earns the same card
In Brooklyn, in Walnut Creek, on the phone, or on racycles.com from anywhere in the world — same bike, same band, same card. There is no better deal for walking in and no worse deal for living somewhere else.
That isn't generosity, it's accuracy. We've been shipping bikes since 1998, and for most of these fifty years the web has been half of what we are. The rider in Denver who has bought four bikes from us sight-unseen did just as much to get us here as the one who walks in every Saturday.
The rules, plainly
- The card is figured from the bike's list price. Always. A discount never moves you into a different band.
- If we discount the bike, that comes off the card, dollar for dollar. Take $300 off and the card drops $300. You're welcome to either — but not both.
- It's the bike only. Accessories, apparel, parts, labor, fitting, shipping and tax aren't part of the calculation — though the card itself can be spent on any of them. We also won't add an accessory to push a bike into the next band; that's not what this is.
- One card per bicycle.
What's excluded
Limited edition bicycles and framesets, limited-quantity releases, pure custom frames, and custom-painted frames — including Serotta, Passoni, and Pinarello MyWay. Those bikes are priced the way they're priced. Framesets on their own don't qualify either; this is a complete-bike offer. If you're unsure whether a particular bike is included, ask us before you order and we'll tell you straight.
The fine print
Purchase a new complete bicycle priced at $4,000 or more between September 1 and September 30, 2026 — in store, by phone, or online at racycles.com — and receive an R&A Cycles gift card, issued by email within 30 days of delivery of the bicycle. Card value is calculated from the bicycle's list price in $1,000 bands: the thousands figure multiplied by $100, plus $50. Card value is based on the price of the bicycle only — accessories, apparel, parts, labor, service, fitting, shipping and taxes are excluded from the calculation, though the card itself may be redeemed against any of them, shipping included. Any discount, price match or price adjustment applied to the purchase reduces the card value dollar for dollar; a discount does not change the band. One card per bicycle. Available to customers worldwide. Excluded from this offer: limited edition bicycles and framesets, limited-quantity releases, pure custom frames, and custom-painted frames — including but not limited to Serotta, Passoni, and Pinarello MyWay. Cards expire six months from the date of issue, printed on the card. Cards are redeemable on anything R&A Cycles sells, in store or online, have no cash value, and are not redeemable for cash. Cannot be combined with any other promotion or offer. R&A Cycles is not responsible for lost, stolen, destroyed or expired cards. Card is void if the bicycle is returned or the sale is cancelled. Offer ends September 30, 2026.
