About Speedplay
Speedplay introduced its distinctive round pedal platform in 1991, founded in San Diego by Richard Byrne. The design's dual-sided entry set it apart immediately — no more fumbling for the right side of the pedal — and 0-15 degrees of adjustable free float with 3-axis cleat positioning made it a favorite among fit-conscious road cyclists and triathletes.
