Lazer Bike Helmets have been made in Belgium since 1919 — over a century of helmet development from a brand that has never had a backup plan. Lazer's defining technology right now is KinetiCore: a rotational impact protection system built directly into the helmet's EPS foam rather than added as a separate layer. The result is a helmet that absorbs both direct and rotational impact energy without the weight penalty or ventilation compromise that traditional insert-based systems can introduce.

About Lazer

Lazer was founded in Nivelles, Belgium in 1919, making it one of the oldest helmet manufacturers in the world. The brand started producing leather protective gear for motorcyclists and pilots, presented its first bicycle helmet in 1948, and has been rooted in the cycling heartland of Flanders — at its headquarters in Mechelen — ever since. KinetiCore, introduced in 2022 after more than a decade of development, is Lazer's answer to rotational impact protection. Unlike systems that attach a separate liner inside the helmet, KinetiCore integrates controlled deformation zones directly into the EPS foam — specific foam blocks that deform on impact to absorb the rotational forces that can cause brain injury. The practical outcome: the protection is part of the helmet rather than added to it, which keeps weight down and allows for better ventilation.
