CMC

KMC was founded in Taiwan in 1977 by Charles Wu — starting with a handful of used machines in what was then the world’s smallest chain factory. More than four decades later, KMC has grown into the world’s largest chain supplier, operating 11 manufacturing plants across Taiwan, China, the Netherlands, the US, Indonesia, and Vietnam. KMC chains have reached the Olympic podium — two golds and two silvers at the Beijing Olympics, two golds and a silver at the London Olympics — and topped the Tour de France mountains classification. The brand was also the first in the industry to develop DLC-coated chains, earning multiple iF and Red Dot design awards. Visit KMC’s official website to learn more.

At RA Cycles, the KMC lineup covers the full spectrum from race-day performance to everyday training. The DLC Series — KMC’s flagship — uses a Diamond-Like Carbon coating to lower drivetrain friction and extend chain life, available in 10-, 11-, and 12-speed. The X12 Aurora Oil Slick adds visual flair without compromising performance, and the E11 e-bike chain is purpose-built to handle the higher torque loads of motor-assisted drivetrains. All 21 options are backed by KMC’s MissingLink connector system for tool-free removal.
