The standout feature of the Wilier Filante SLR is its aerodynamic efficiency. It is optimized to maximize aerodynamic performance in real world situations. Building the frame with both wind tunnel analysis and real world testing allowed Wilier to dial in a design that would be fast anywhere. Profiles were redesigned to remove the sharp edges on the NACA Airfoils and KAMM Tail. The inside of the fork has also been widened by 7mm, reducing turbulence between the fork blades and wheel. With wind tunnel testing from -20 to 20 degree yaw angles and countless real world tests, the Wilier Filante SLR is designed to promote speed in all areas of a race or ride.
Figuring out how to aerodynamically optimize each tube shape leads to less material being used and a lighter overall frame. No sharp edges means less resin use, shaving off grams. The Wilier Filante SLR frame comes in at just 870 grams, the kind of weight you might expect out of a specialized climbing bike. The frame is made with monocoque carbon along with a Liquid Crystal Polymer. This unique blend allows Wilier to push the absolute limits of weight to stiffness ratios. With the Wilier Filante SLR, you can expect an incredibly lightweight ride that is aerodynamically efficient, a great sprinter, and has impeccable handling.
Each frame is fitted to your needs and fully integrated. With the ability to equip 35mm of spacers under the bar, there are 240 unique sizing options across the six frame sizes for the Wilier Filante SLR. The number of possible configurations doubles with two seatpost setback options. The new Filante SLR monocoque bar houses cables and fully integrates your cockpit. Please note that the frame is only compatible with electronic groupsets. This version is equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-speed groupset for some of the best road shifting on the planet. This bike incorporates a speed release thru-axle system, making it easier than ever to replace a wheel. The Wilier Filante SLR is at the top of the heap when it comes to road racing performance.
