TYR Hurricane Category 5 Wetsuit Info
Your opponents may have trained to be ready for a variety of elements in the water: frigid temperatures, choppy waves, and poorly placed buoys. But…are they prepared for a hurricane? The TYR Hurricane Wetsuit Category 5 doesn’t just sound cool, it’s also engineered to provide unrivaled buoyancy, stability, and comfort. So while your competition is fighting to keep their heads above water, you’ll be aggressively gliding past them with speed, agility, and style.
The Category 5 is constructed from 39 Cell Yamamoto Neoprene with built-in Nano-SCS coating allowing for a sleek, ultralow drag swim. Hurricanes lose strength the farther they travel, however, with elevation panels in the chest, core, buttocks, thighs, and obliques, you’ll maintain optimal body positioning and maximum buoyancy to preserve core strength and ensure you make it from start to finish without missing a beat. Insulated Alpha Catch Panels are strategically engineered on the forearm to maximize a speedy catch-and-release stroke while still allowing for a feel for the water. Free ROM zones afford ample reach and optimal range of motion without restricting upper body agility.
Universally, triathletes are always trying to find tricks to cut down on transition times. The Category 5’s 40 Cell, form-fitting, quick-release wrist and ankle cuffs prevent water from leaking into your suit while simultaneously allowing you to quickly shed in order to shred T1 times. (We enjoy triathlon rhymes).
This product is topped off with an antimicrobial lining to prevent, ahem, roadkill-level stank. If you’re looking for an edge in the water, your search stops with the TYR Hurricane Wetsuit Category 5. Your competition won’t know what hit them.
