Shimano Di2 BT-DN110-A Internal Battery Info
If you want an internal battery to work with your Shimano Di2 system, you'll need the SM-BTR2 Internal Battery. This is just the battery. You'll need to get the internal mounts, the cables, the charger, the power cable separately.
The battery doesn't come with a mount. Some just rest it inside frame tubes, while others use bubble wrap or filler to keep the thing from rattling around inside your bike or seat post. A number of companies make clips to affix the battery inside their seat post.
You'll need to purchase a EW-SD50 wire to attach the battery to the Di2 system. You'll need to purchase the SM-BCR2 charger that plugs into their Junction Box A, and then you'll need a power cable, SM-BCR1.
If you're worried about running out of juice on a ride, know that you'll first get a warning light on the stem-mounted junction box. If you don't see that, you'll lose the ability to shift the front derailleur first, and then you'll have 100-200 shifts left before it goes dead. The battery takes 90 minutes to charge from empty.
For those who are riding first-generation Di2, this battery will not work with your system, as it pre-dates Shimano's E-Tube junction system.
Shimano's Di2 SM-BTR2 Internal Battery is the battery you put inside your bike.
