Lightweight builds their own quick release skewers to complement their wheels. They’re called Schnellspanners. But they’re also available as stand alone items for the people who want to remove all unnecessary weight from their bikes.
They tickle scales at 44g for the set.
All the same, they’re quite reliable. The shafts are made from chromoly steel, as the material is durable, reliable, and doesn’t stretch. The axle nuts are aluminum. The springs are as light as could be made reliable.
The nod to Lightweight’s aesthetics are the carbon-fiber levers. They’re attached to external cams and are even marked so you can easily tell the difference between closed and open.
