Slightly longer at 250mm, and with a tick less padding, the PR 2.0 hits that middle road that both hobby cyclists and serious triathletes will appreciate. These are specified as recreation saddles because they do have more padding. In this case, the PR 2.0 has the 40-series level of padding. The dual foam and gel layers will help keep your ischial tuberosities cushioned when sitting more upright, while the nose-less, forked design will remove any pressure that you would normally be putting on your soft tissue when using a conventional saddle. Since it is 130mm at its widest point, you will have a generous platform to rest your bum. The saddle has been shaped specifically to give you that wide platform where you need it, but then slimmed down towards the front to allow for unencumbered pedaling motions.

Before you head out on your first century with this saddle, though you should be very careful about having it properly adjusted. You can’t simply position it the same way you would your conventional saddle. ISM says that you should have between two and three inches of saddle behind you when you are in position. The steel rails with a satin finish will provide you with plenty of room to wiggle when adjusting the saddle. And the rear transition hook has been added just in case you work your way up to doing some triathlons, you won’t have to worry about messy transitions to the running section. The PR 2.0 tips the scales at 375 grams.
