The Fizik Antares R3 Saddle is for riders who like a gently-curved seat that allows them to find the right place for powering the pedals.

The Antares shape sits in between the curved Aliante and the flat Arione, and, befitting its position, is for in-between rider. In Fizik’s Spine Concept System, this saddle is for “Chameleon” riders, those with moderate flexibility and low pelvic rotation while pedaling. Their guidance is hardly definitive. If you like some curve to your seat, a shortish nose, and a broad back for sitting, this is the Fizik Saddle for you.

The shell is a composite nylon. K:ium rails support the shell. K:ium is a proprietary tubular steel alloy eight percent lighter than titanium, and with titanium-like corrosion resistance. The rails are marked to the millimeter for precision fitting. The cover is made of Microtex, a smooth, tough synthetic leather that wears well. There are actually three panels of Microtex, a main and two side pieces. The sides are also Microtex, but have a different finish. As with all Fizik saddles, the Fizik logo in the back detaches to reveal a mounting point for Fizik Integrated Clip System accessories, a line that includes both lights and bags.

There are two sizes. The Regular is 274mm long by 140mm wide. The Large is 274mm long by 152mm wide. Weight is 205g.
