Deda Kronos Due Aerobar Info

Deda designed the Kronos Aerobar for riders who like to get low in their timed-event position. There are two versions, the Standard, which has zero drop, and the Due, which has 70mm of drop.

First, the bars. The basebar is a carbon-fiber wing, with small, protruding hand rests. The width is 42cm measured outside-to-outside. The wing is hollow and allows for the internal routing of brake cables and electronic shift wires. On either side of the 31.7mm center section, there are cylindrical holes that house the extensions and the threaded inserts to secure the armrests to the bars.

The extensions are carbon-fiber J-bend bars. They can be extended up to 370mm. They come with plugs for the front and rear, though you can pull them and install shifters, either mechanical or electronic. The extensions have measuring lines screened on them so you can precisely adjust the reach and easily duplicate the position.

The Standard has no drop and the reach is short. The Due has the wings extending forward at a 25-degreee angle as they drop 70mm.

If you want the armrests to go higher, you can purchase 25mm of stack spacers separately to raise them. It’s called he Kriserkit.

Weight is 595g for the Due.
