The Cannondale SuperSix EVO has long been considered one of the best climbing bikes in the peloton. Now, with the development of LAB71, it is lighter, faster, and better than ever. LAB71 was created to give Cannondale engineers everything they needed to make their dream machines with absolutely no compromises. For the SuperSix EVO, that means lower weight, more aerodynamics, increased efficiency, and optimized integration. It also resulted in a new range of unique colors and aesthetic designs. The Cannondale SuperSix EVO LAB71 is ready to take on the highest level of racing in the world.
The frame of the SuperSix EVO LAB71 is made with the new Series 0 Carbon. It is their lightest and most efficient carbon fiber layup to date. A nano-resin layup combined with the carbon fiber allows for little material to be used for a frame with such high tensile and compressive strength. In size 56, the frame comes in at just 770 grams, an unbelievably low weight for such a fast bike. Despite the new build, the SystemSix does not lose its climbing qualities. It is a true contender for the King of the Mountains every time it hits the road.
Aerodynamics are now better than ever on the LAB71 version of the SystemSix EVO. In fact, it has been refined so much that Cannondale claims it to be aerodynamically faster than a lot of “aero road” bikes on the market. Thanks to its redesigned tube shape and integrated system, the SystemSix has reached a new level of efficiency. At 45 km/hr, it needs 12 watts of power less than the previous iteration. In modern cycling, low weight is not enough. Every bike has to be ready for a sprint, and the Cannondale SystemSix EVO LAB71 is an all-around superbike.
Premier integration is another upgrade on the SystemSix LAB71. It works best with the SystemBar R-One which was created with MOMODesign, combining excellent aerodynamics with comfortable control. It works with the Delta steerer to give you great handling at high speeds in addition to internal cable routing and a smaller frontal area. Even bottles are integrated aerodynamically with the ReGrip Aero cages and Gripper Aero bottles. They streamline the profile and increase the bike’s aero efficiency. With 30mm of tire clearance, there is no need to choose between speed and comfort and you can take on more difficult roads. The Cannondale SystemSix EVO LAB71 is the ultimate road racing machine.
