The 3T Exploro RaceMax Boost introduces a fun and high performing drop bar eBike with the same speed, agility, and aerodynamics as one of the best gravel bikes in the world. After the success of the Exploro swept the cycling community, 3T decided to make it accessible to a wider range of riders by offering a pedal assist version. This drop bar version is perfect group rides with athletes of varying skill levels or simply having a fun ride with no worries. Aside from the obvious addition of a motor, 3T did not want to change anything from the award-winning Exploro. They kept the same geometry, tube shape, and steering properties. With the Exploro RaceMax Boost, riders can expect a traditional gravel bike feel with an extra kick.
Without taking a close look, it is hard to distinguish the Exploro Boost from a standard non pedal assist bike. The hidden eBike system inside the Exploro Boost gives you that extra kick you need to take on a tough climb, tear through a detour, or simply make your commute without sweating. 3T created the Mahle ebikemotion system to smoothly ramp up power, creating a natural pedaling feel. It is designed for true cyclists with the goal of feeling as natural as possible. This system utilizes three power levels. Eco offers a small boost and is perfect for keeping up on a group ride or making your commute on time. Medio offers a bit more support to charge up a hill or make it to your destination without expending too much effort. Turbo provides the maximum boost to run through difficult terrain with a smooth build up. Regardless of your goals, the Exploro Boost has your bases covered.
Like the standard Exploro, the frame of the Exploro Boost is made with a high-modulus unidirectional pre-peg carbon. It is incredibly lightweight and stiff despite the included motor. The Fango Fork is also the same, providing the same steering and control you would expect from one of the world’s top gravel machines. It also provides massive tire clearance of up to 61mm so you can be sure no terrain is too tough to take on. Each frame size is specifically designed to fit the rider properly, so compliance and comfort are never an issue. The frame of the Exploro Boost will have you feeling fresh and confident through your whole ride.
The Exploro has always stood out due to its aerodynamics and its eBike twin is no different. The headtube is sized like that of a road bike and pairs with a minimalist fork crown for optimal aero efficiency at the front. A close fitting cutout at the center of the frame properly shields the rear wheel from the wind to achieve the best speed. The frame also incorporates 3T’s unique Squaero tube shapes for the most aero ride possible on gravel. This version of the Exploro Boost is equipped with a Shimano GRX groupset for reliable gravel specific 11-speed shifting along with a SRAM Powerglide cassette. The 3T Exploro RaceMax Boost is ready to set the new standard in gravel eBike performance.
