The Yeti SB140 27.5 is for the rider who wants to take on any trail imaginable from tough endurance terrain to fast single tracks. This bike is ready to propel you into weightlessness on rowdy jumps or bounce around technical terrain. It is simply one of the most fun machines you will ever take on the trial. 27.5-inch wheels create a nimble and agile feel. Full of details that lead to a fun riding experience, the technology incorporated into the SB140 is felt every time riders hit the trail. A shuttle pad is included to assure scratches and damage are not an issue on the drive to the trail. With a durable build and adventure ready frame, the Yeti SB140 is made to hit transitions and conquer hidden lines.
The frame of the Yeti SB140 is made with their TURQ carbon fiber. This material is their highest quality fiber for a perfect balance of stiffness and compliance. This results in a ride that feels smooth, stable, and aggressive. The low weight carbon makes the bike easy to control while bouncing around on uneven and technical terrain. Having such a high quality carbon that remains stiff and light results in faster pedaling and a livelier and more fun ride. The build of the Yeti SB140 frame keeps riders feeling fast, efficient, and in control of every line, jump and transition.
A specialized geometry helps the Yeti SB140 cement its place as one of the more versatile bikes to grace the trail. The new school geometry makes this bike feel like an extension of the rider. The headtube is angled to suit a rider who wants more control and freestyle ability. This type of confidence is needed when attacking daring jumps or obscure trails. It is optimized to fit its 27.5” DT Swiss EXC 1501 Carbon wheels. Every angle of the SB140 is designed to bring out your rowdiest performance.
The SB140 also provides 140mm of rear travel with its Fox Factory Float DPS Shock and 150mm of front travel with a Fox Factory 36 Fit 4 fork. The suspension is centered around Yeti’s Switch Infinity technology which utilizes a patented pivot that switches direction as the bike progresses through its travel. This creates an anti-squat curve while allowing the leverage ratio to be tuned independently. This leads to a bottomless feeling shock and outstanding pedaling performance. Topped off with a Shimano XT groupset for outstanding 12-speed mechanical shifting, the Yeti SB140 gives riders everything they need to attack the most fun terrain available.
