SRAM GX Eagle DUB BOOST Crankset Info

GX Eagle DUB Crankset brings the tech innovations of SRAM’s 1x twelve-speed drivetrain to the masses. They use a direct-mount Eagle chainring and pair it with 7000 series forged aluminum crankams and their new DUB thru-axle.

DUB is an acronym for Durable Unified Bottom bracket, a new salvo in the standard wars and a standard-killer, working with all bottom bracket shells on the market, all that have been in the recent past, and all in the future. The 28.99mm diameter spindle works in all bottom bracket shells, be it BSA, BB30, PF30, BB89, and BB92. The oversized spindle is stiffer and can be made lighter both thanks to the increased diameter. And the slightly smaller than 30mm size means that the bottom bracket bearings can both run smoother and be better sealed regardless of the bottom bracket shell you choose to pair this crank with. SRAM, of course, has bottom brackets for all those variants.

The direct mount chainring is a 32-tooth X-Sync 2 Eagle ring. It mounts directly to the crank to keep it light, the ring itself is forged and machined for stiffness and durability, and the new tooth pattern maximizes efficiency, durability, and cleanliness, while minimizing noise. You can stick with it or put in any other SRAM direct mount chainring.

The SRAM GX Eagle DUB Crankset comes in three lengths: 165, 170, and 175mm. You have a choice of two chainlines, standard (49mm) and Boost (52mm). A 175mm long version weighs 621g. SRAM recommends using their Eagle chain only with this crank.
