RockShox Reverb Stealth Seatpost Info
The RockShox Reverb Stealth Seatpost shows that SRAM hasn’t been resting on this dropper post’s legendary laurels. It might look the same, but the guts have been pulled, reworked, upgraded, and reinstalled for even better performance. All you need to do is the install.
The install is simple. Thanks to the Connectamajig, you can separate the post from the hydraulic hose without losing fluid or allowing air inside. Just make sure the initial position is in the highest part of its travel. It’s a zero-setback post, which is pretty much what you’ll find on most MTB’s these days, so the change from your old post to the Reverb should be pretty straightforward.
The internals are completely new, with SKF providing the internal floating position. The bushing overlap is longer, making the post both stiffer in use, and more reliable. The remote, which can link to a MatchMaker X brake lever clamp can be mounted on the right or left side. 1x users might like the left.
Coolest of cool, they’ve designed the remote with adjustable return speed. That is, you can adjust the hydraulics so that fluid moves faster or slower from the remote to the post, which slows down or speeds up the return speed.
There are four lengths of post, each associated with a travel length: 340mm has 100mm of travel, 390mm has 125, 440 has 150, and 480 and 170. There are three different diameters: 30.9mm, 31.6, and 34.9. Because of all the choices, weights vary. However, if you go with the 340mm post (100mm travel) in 30.9mm diameter, with the MatchMaker X remote and 1300mm of hose, weight is 560g.
The RockShox Reverb Stealth Seat Post improves the dropper post experience.
