The Pivot Trail 429 is the perfect bike for the rider who wants to shred a huge range of trails with no compromises. With today’s focus on specific riding like cross country, all-mountain, or endurance, the Trail 429 is one of the remaining bikes that can do it all. This Enduro version is geared to take on tougher terrain than the standard. It is completely redesigned to be more versatile and capable than ever. It is ready to rip any trail from the climb to the sprint to the technical descent. The Trail 429 will feel like a cross country bike in terms of acceleration and climbing but will bounce around technical terrain with the confidence of an endurance bikes. Equipped with 29” wheels, there is no obstacle that the Trail 429 cannot take on. With effortless handling and blazing power transfer, the Pivot Trail 429 is ready for any challenge.
Pivot expanded the already massive range of capabilities in this iteration of the Trail 429. It is still incredibly fast and sharp but can now take on more challenging rides than ever. A slackened head angle slightly increases the reach, enhancing the stability at high speeds while maintaining proper ergonomics to promote massive power transfer on the pedals. Pivot also introduced a flip-chip on this version of the Trail 429. This allows riders to tune the geometry toward speed-focused riding or rowdy technical ability depending on the terrain ahead. With the addition of a Fox Factory Float DPX2 shock for 120mm of rear travel, this bike is ready for anything. Another 140mm of travel is offered at the front in the form of a Fox Factory 36 fork.
The new Pivot Trail 429 comes with a lighter frame than ever. Improvements to Pivot’s Hollow Core Technology allowed them to shave over 300 grams off the weight of the frame. This leaves riders with a bike that has the weight of a high-level cross country machine with the capability of an all-mountain bike. A rework of the dw-link suspension offers a bottomless feel through tough terrain while maximizing pedaling efficiency. The improvements made to the Pivot Trail 429 have simply resulted in razor sharp performance along with a very smooth ride. This version also features Shimano XT and XTR components for high-level trail specific 12-speed shifting at a reasonable price. The Pivot Trail 429 is simply one of the most diverse and capable bikes to touch the trail.
