The Cannondale Scalpel HM Ultimate is a professional level cross country bike that can race at the highest level. The frame of the Cannondale Scalpel is made with a lightweight high-modulus carbon fiber. Including the shock, the Scalpel frame comes in at just over 1,900 grams, making it one of the lightest full suspension bikes on the market. With such a stiff carbon buildup, you can count on the best handling and power in addition to its featherweight feel. The unique lefty ocho fork is found at the front of the Scalpel, providing some of the best handling you can find. Its one-sided design allows you to float around various trail obstacles and feel in control the entire time. It has 100mm of travel for added front comfort.
A unique geometry was designed for the Scalpel to balance speed with stability. The headtube angle is a degree and a half slacker than the previous model and the seat tube angle is one degree slacker. This makes it faster, more aggressive, and more stable. Out front steering geometry gives you amazing control. The drivetrain is offset for more tire and mud clearance while keeping the chainstays short and rigid. This creates a stiffer and stronger rear wheel. On the down tube you will find a hidden 8 in 1 mini tool in a holster for your quick trail-side repairs. A tubeless plug kit and CO2 stash neatly under the water bottle.
An integrated wheel sensor is included at the rear wheel. It delivers speed, route and distance info to a connected device and also registers your bike and reminds you of needed service through the Cannondale App. This bike is also compatible with internal cable routing and features a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset for some of the best 12-speed electronic trail shifting out there.
