Assos rallycargoShorts_S7 Info
Assos wanted to make a loose-fitting short that had all the comfort of their S7 road bottoms. They looked to those as their inspiration when designing the H.rallycargoShorts_S7. They are unlike any loose-fitting cycling short you’ve ever ridden, but they pure Assos.
Leg movement can be frustrating with baggies. It’s nice that the legs are loose, but the limited stretch can cause problems. Assos looked to their S7 half-shorts, and utilized a super-stretchy mesh for the front and rear waist panels (you’ll want to wear something underneath). It’s Type 265 in Assos-speak. It’s sufficiently stretchy that you don’t need a fly or an adjustable waist. What this means is almost a traditional spandex middle onto which the legs are hung. And those legs are a super-durable, water-repellant limited-stretch material, Type 498.
Each leg has a side zipper with locking pull at the top and the bottom. This is a way to further fine-tune the fit and comfort. Open up if you want more give. Close down to keep a trim line. For reference, inseam length on a Medium is 10.5 inches.
There's even a zippered pocket on the right leg.
Wear the H.rallycargoShorts_S7 over any Assos short, the new H.rallyBoxer_S7, or, if you must, your regular short baselayer, and you’ve got a short you can rip in without getting ripped up.
