The Van Rysel RCR is a race-ready road bike engineered for riders who value the ideal combination of aerodynamics, stiffness, and low weight. With a Super High Modulus carbon frame and a system weight of just 7.7 kilograms in size medium, the RCR is built to convert every watt into forward motion. Designed for racing performance with a nod to all-around ride quality, it delivers the type of responsiveness and handling that serious competitors demand. Featuring a Shimano 105 Di2 Groupset and a power meter, riders can expect useful data along with affordable 12-speed electronic shifting.
Aerodynamic development of the RCR was conducted in partnership with ONERA, a global leader in aerospace research. Through Computational Fluid Dynamics and wind tunnel testing, the frame and fork were shaped to reduce drag while maintaining predictable handling at speed. This allows the RCR to hold higher speeds with less effort, especially in solo efforts or breakaways.
Weight savings were achieved using a topological analysis process that removed unnecessary material while preserving strength in load-bearing zones. Even components beyond the frame were evaluated for optimization, contributing to the RCR’s light and efficient build.
