De Rosa has spread its wings in its new journey in making high quality Carbon Road Frames. There latest and most impressive below the Protos is called the 888 Super King.
The Super King comes in a mechanical and Electronic version. What sets the Super King apart from every other manufacturer is the time and collaboration spent with Campagnolo to integrate the EPS battery flawlessy into the downtube. Every aspect was thought of, especially the convenience needed to charge the battery. On the upper side of the downtube De Rosa built a charging port hole so you don't have dificulty charging the EPS battery. The Electronic Version of the 888 Super King is also compatible with Shimano's Di2 system.
The De Rosa 888 Super King blends together three different types of high modulus carbon fiber. Some are used for stiffness and others for compliance. The overall design of the Super King with its special uses of materials give it the ability to be superlight, extremely rigid, and have one of the greatest levels of road compliance today. This doesn't come easy which is why you will see many complex shapes and features in the frame.
