The 3T Strada is known for its unique combination of aerodynamics and comfort. Typically, your aero bike is not one that you want to be on all day, but the Strada keeps you feeling good on your daily ride. The Italia version of the Strada is manufactured entirely in Italy, featuring the stunning craftsmanship you would expect from Italian bike makers. It is also available in all three colors of the Italian flag. They use a special filament winding process and Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), which leads to a lightweight, reactive, and comfortable frame. The carbon weave is like none other, so there is an option to buy the frame raw. The 3T Strada Italia is as unique as it is fast and comfortable.
The ability to equip wider tires helps reduce shock on cracks, cobbles, pothole, and any non-perfect road. This helps fend off fatigue for longer rides at higher speeds. Tires from 30-35mm are optimized for the Strada Italia frame, making it more comfortable to go fast. It comes with a Fundi Integrale II Fork which has been upgraded from the previous generation, including thin asymmetric fork blades and a squaero structure. A narrow and deep headtube keeps the frame aerodynamic while giving it a place to internally route cables. This version is equipped with a SRAM Force AXS groupset for versatile and high performing 12-speed electronic shifting.
When it comes to an aero road bike, obviously the frame shape and efficiency is a huge factor. 3T is run by Gerard Vroomen, the cofounder of Cervélo, so you know he knows a thing or two about aerodynamics. The Strada was tested in far more than just a wind tunnel, taking into account as many real world settings as possible. They tested it at 20 and 30 mph and included tests with water bottles and mud on the frame. An elongated headset and aggressive truncation combined with the thin fork blades make the front very aero. The downtube has a narrow neck and wide body to shield bottles while the rear has deep profiles. Despite how fun it is to ride, the Strada Italia is fast on all roads.
The more comfortable a rider is, the better they will perform. 3T took that to heart and made the Strada Italia one of the most comfortably fast bikes of all time. A special carbon layup in the lower seat tube area includes a curved aero cutout which leads to better vertical compliance without affecting power transfer. An adjustable cockpit allows you to play with your stem and bar until you find the ideal position for you. The Strada Italia aims to get riders in their most aero position in the most comfortable way possible. The 3T Strada Italia means you no longer have to choose between comfort and speed.
