The Zipp Service Course SL-70 Handlebar is built around a short 70mm reach — a dimension that makes a genuine difference for riders who struggle to find a comfortable position across the tops, hoods, and drops simultaneously. Machined from 7050 aluminium, it keeps weight to 250g in the 42cm width while delivering the stiffness and durability you'd expect from a bar at this level.
The geometry is what sets this bar apart from a generic compact drop. A 128mm drop pairs with a 10-degree ramp angle, letting you mount brake levers high enough to create a near-flat shelf between the tops and the hoods — without pushing the levers out of reach when you move into the drops. The semi-ergo drop shape adds a four-degree outward flare from the midpoint, reducing wrist strain in the drops and giving you a more natural, powerful position when you're out of the saddle. The top face is lightly flattened for cable routing and for comfort when your hands are resting on the tops. Clamp diameter is the standard 31.8mm, and the centre section is sized to accommodate aero bar extensions if your setup calls for them.
