Bike Locks / Security

Bike security is a layered problem — no single lock stops every thief, but the right combination raises the cost of stealing your bike high enough that it isn't worth the attempt. The RA Cycles lock and security collection covers every layer: heavy Kryptonite chains and U-locks for primary protection, OTTO cinch locks for a fast secondary deterrent, and AirTag holders from Muc-Off and Lezyne that let you track a bike even after it moves. Whether you're locking up for a long day at the office or a quick coffee stop, the right setup starts here.

Bike Locks and Security

Kryptonite's New York series sits at the top of the lock category for a reason — the Fahgettaboudit Chain 1415 and New York U-Lock are among the most cut-resistant locks available, built for high-theft urban environments where a lightweight cable lock is an invitation. The Evolution series brings similar protection at a lower price point, and the KryptoLok range covers everyday locking with solid security for lower-risk situations. Pairing a primary U-lock or chain with a secondary lock — the OTTO cinch lock concept — forces a thief to carry two different tools and spend twice the time, which is often enough to move on. OTTO's Hexband versions add a textured grip surface; the 18", 30", and 60" length options work for frames, wheels, or locking two bikes together.

For tracking, Muc-Off's Stealth Tubeless Tag Holder is the most discreet option — it fits an AirTag inside the valve stem cavity of a tubeless wheel, invisible from the outside. The Secure Tag Holder 2.0 mounts under the saddle or frame for a less hidden but more accessible placement. Lezyne offers AirTag-compatible options integrated into saddle bags and frame cages for riders who prefer tracking built into existing accessories rather than a standalone holder.
