Scott Spark RC Pro Bike Info
The Scott Spark RC Pro Bike is built on the Spark RC platform — Scott's dedicated cross-country race frameset, distinct from the more trail-oriented Spark — and specced with components that reflect serious competitive intent. A full Shimano XT Di2 electronic drivetrain, Fox 34SL Performance Elite fork, Fox NUDE 6 EVOL rear shock, and Syncros Fraser iC SL carbon integrated cockpit put this bike in a category where the hardware can genuinely support a race effort. At $6,499.99, the Spark RC Pro doesn't ask you to compromise on the components that matter most for XC performance — suspension, shifting, and weight — to hit a more accessible price point. It's the build for riders who race, train seriously, or simply want a bike that rewards effort with efficiency.
The suspension architecture is purpose-built for cross-country racing. Up front, a Fox 34SL Float Performance Elite Air with Grip SL damping delivers 120mm of travel — the 34SL is Fox's lightweight XC variant, prioritizing low weight and efficient pedaling feel over the plushness of a trail-tuned fork. Out back, a Fox NUDE 6 EVOL Trunnion shock runs the same 120mm, tuned for the Spark RC's Flex Pivot rear linkage and geometry targets. Both ends are integrated into Scott's TwinLoc suspension system, which gives you three modes — Lockout, Traction Control, and Descend — switchable without taking your hands off the bar. Lock both ends down for a technical XC climb, open them up mid-descent with a single input. The Syncros/Acros headset adds a further layer of adjustability: ±0.6° of head angle adjustment lets you push the front end toward 66.6° for more technical terrain or dial it back toward 67.8° for faster, open courses.
The HMF carbon frame positions the Fox NUDE 6 shock inside the frame rather than externally — a decision that protects the shock from mud and debris, tightens the rear triangle around the pivot points, and moves mass inward to lower the bike's center of gravity. The geometry runs a 67.2° head tube angle across all four sizes, with seat tube angles ranging from 75.9° on the Small to 76.9° on the XL. Chainstay length holds at 437.5mm throughout. Reach scales from 411mm on the Small, to 441mm on the Medium, 471mm on the Large, and 501mm on the XL — proportioned for a position that's controlled and efficient without sacrificing power on flat pedaling sections. The adjustable head angle makes the bike genuinely adaptable across course types: steeper for pure XC, slacker for more demanding terrain. The frame also uses a UDH derailleur interface, making future drivetrain upgrades cleaner than older proprietary hanger designs.
The drivetrain is fully Shimano XT Di2. The rear derailleur — XT Di2 M8250 — is operated through XT Di2 SW-M8250-IR shifters that mount directly into the brake levers via Ispec EV clamps, eliminating separate clamp bands and keeping the bar uncluttered. The Shimano XT M8200 crankset runs a 34T chainring at a 55mm chainline, matched to an XT M8200 12-speed 10-51 cassette and M8100 chain. Electronic shifting keeps the derailleur position precise and unaffected by cable stretch or contamination — advantages that compound over the course of a long race or a demanding mountain day. Braking comes from Shimano XT M8220 4-piston disc calipers: 180mm rotors up front, 160mm out back. The asymmetric rotor sizing puts more stopping power at the front where it has the most effect on descent speed, while keeping the rear lighter. A Shimano Di2 Powerpack is included with the build.
The Syncros Fraser iC SL XC is a fully integrated carbon bar and stem — one piece, 740mm wide, with -12° rise and 8° backsweep. Carbon at the cockpit trims weight and filters fine-frequency vibration through the hands over long race days and technical descents where fatigue accumulates. Syncros Silverton 1.0S-30 wheels with 30mm internal width carry Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.4 EXO tubeless-ready tires front and rear — a well-established XC race pairing that rolls with low resistance on hardpack while maintaining grip through loose corners. The Syncros Duncan Dropper seatpost provides 100mm of drop across all four sizes, keeping the climbing position efficient without abandoning descending control entirely. Pedals are not included. The Scott Spark RC Pro Bike is available in Small, Medium, Large, and XL.
