Its PaceStar triple compound construction pairs a fast-rolling center with softer shoulder rubber — you get low rolling resistance on straightaways and added cornering bite when you lean into turns.
The tread's U-Block lugs along the outer edge are what give the Rocket Ron its character. Shaped like a small "u," each lug pushes outward against the surface as you lean into a corner, locking in traction across hardpack, soft, and wet terrain. The 127-tpi carcass keeps weight low — this is a competition tire, designed for race day rather than season-long training miles. Many riders run it up front paired with a faster-rolling rear tire, leaning on the Rocket Ron's cornering strength where it matters most. The tubeless UST setup seals airtight through an internal butyl liner, so sealant is not required on a compatible UST rim.
