Rotor R-Hawk / R-Raptor Axle for Standard Spindle Info
Once you have Rotor’s R-Hawk or R-Raptor crankarms, you need an axle. Specifically, one of these 30mm diameter thru-axles. There are three different widths available, Standard, Boost, and DH
The axles are made of T6 7075 CNC-machined aluminum. They are 30mm in diameter
The standard spacing axle has a chainline of 49.5mm a Q-factor of 164mmIt weighs 136g.
The Boost spacing axle has a chainline of 52.5mm, a Q-factor of 170mmIt weighs 139g.
The DH spacing axle has a chainline of 52.5mm, a Q-factor of 181mm
If you wonder what you have, you can measure from the outside to the outside of your current crankarms. The standard axle is 152mm, the Boost 158mm, the DH 167mm.
The axles are designed to work with Rotor arms and chainrings only. You press the chainring onto the chainring splines, you tighten the right arm onto the axle, then you can install the axle, install the left arm, and then adjust out whatever play might be left.
These axles are compatible with 30mm inner diameter bottom bracket bearings, and all bottom bracket shells that accept 30mm spindles, save Trek’s BB95.
