The Pivot Firebird Pro is a high level endurance trail bike that is fast, fun, and stable in any situation. Pivot says that the Firebird “rewrites the 29er playbook” with its ability to fly up climbs and just as easily bounce down a technical descent. While there are plenty of 29-inch endurance bikes that can take on technical terrain and bomb downhills, there are few as lightweight and capable of climbing or sprinting like the Firebird. This version is equipped with a SRAM X0 Eagle T-Type groupset for endurance targeted shifting with an incredibly efficient and durable build. Used by a ton of Pivot’s professional racers, the Firebird is worthy of world-class riding.
The frame of the Pivot Firebird is made with a lightweight carbon fiber, making it lighter than the majority of bikes in its class. Pivot’s engineering process utilizes hollow-core carbon and a high compression molding process. This leads to an incredibly light frame that compensates for the extra grams caused by 29-inch wheels. This version features DT Swiss XM1700 wheels. The engineering process also leads to a frame that is strong enough to withstand the most aggressive World Cup downhill punishment. With its carbon build and capable suspension, the Firebird strikes a seemingly impossible combination of low weight and durability.
When it comes to stability at high speeds, the Pivot Firebird is hard to compete with. It features the longest reach in its class along with incredibly short chainstays. This allows for a much lower center of gravity and low riding position. A 65-degree slack angle also helps the rider stay low and in position for unmatched stability. With 165mm of travel at the rear and 170mm at the front with an offset suspension fork, the Pivot Firebird can take on any challenge while leaving the rider feeling completely in control. This version utilizes a Fox Factory Float X2 suspension and Factory 38 fork for professional level compliance. The Pivot Firebird is ready to dominate any obstacles the trail throws its way.
