The Oakley Encoder Strike Vented Glasses trace their lineage back to the Razor Blades — one of Oakley's most iconic performance frames — and bring that extended shield silhouette into a modern road cycling package. Developed with Team Oakley athletes, the Encoder Strike is built for riders who want more coverage, sharper optics, and a fit that holds position deep into a hard effort. In Matte Black with PRIZM Sapphire lenses, it's as capable in direct alpine sun as it is on a fast road descent.
The lens is the defining feature. Oakley uses PhysioMorphic™ Geometry — an optical engineering approach that allows the large, curved shield shape to hold its structure without a frame running its full perimeter. Stress distributes across the lens itself, replicating the load-bearing characteristics of a framed design while keeping weight and profile low. The result is an extended field of vision and wraparound coverage, with impact protection inherent to the lens rather than dependent on surrounding hardware. The Plutonite® lens material handles the safety requirements: impact resistant, ANSI Z87.1 rated for high mass and high velocity impact, and providing 100% UV protection across UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue light up to 400nm.
