The Knog Oi is the rare bike bell that not only works well, but looks cool. It is simple, unobtrusive and effective. And it will fit on your bars.
There are two sizes. Small, which fits 22.2mm handlebars only, will work with kids stuff, bmx bars, mtb bars by the grips, and with triathlete extensions. The Large works with everything else, 23.8mm-31.8mm in diameter.
It is really small, it is 15mm wide, with an exterior diameter of 49mm. And it’s light, only 25g.
It can be heard. The hammer is spring loaded and set in neutral, when struck, the bell emanates a chord: a core and then several supportive higher tones. This makes the sound noticeable, even if it isn’t loud.
Another amazing thing is that the Large size can allow for brake and derailleur cables and hoses to pass between the bell and the bars. The design is such that you set up your cabling first, and then install the bell over everything.
