Ever since ENVE began making bike frames, the world leading wheel manufacturer has proven that their carbon expertise applies to more than wheels. For the ENVE Fray, they used their Material Optimized Design (M.O.D.), creating an incredibly versatile frame that is lightweight and aerodynamic. The carbon build of this frame was actually made to complement their SES road wheel. Coming in at just 900 grams, this frame is more than just a comfortable endurance tool. By strategically placing continuous fibers, tapering laminates, and removing excess material, the Fray achieves a remarkable balance of weight savings, impact toughness, stiffness, and compliance, ensuring optimal performance when it matters most on the road.
As an endurance bike, the ENVE Fray excels in delivering comfort and versatility without compromising on performance. Its geometry strikes a harmonious balance between stability and responsiveness, making it equally adept at conquering challenging terrain and cruising through scenic routes. The Fray's generous tire clearance provides riders with the flexibility to choose the ideal tires. ENVE states the ideal tire width for the Fray as 31 to 35mm, but it can clear tires up to 40mm. No matter where you ride, the ENVE Fray is ready to go.
Despite its endurance-oriented design, the ENVE Fray is no stranger to speed. Leveraging Real-World Fast engineering principles and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, ENVE ensures that the Fray is as aerodynamically efficient as it is comfortable. Its meticulously sculpted tube shapes enhance aerodynamic performance, while judicious weight savings further contribute to its speed, making it a great choice for anyone who wants to push their limits on a variety of road types.
Integration is at the forefront of the ENVE Fray's design philosophy, with features such as the IN-Route Aero Stem seamlessly integrated into the front end to minimize drag and enhance aerodynamic performance. Additionally, the inclusion of Cargo Bay Frame Storage offers 0.6 extra liters of storage that is integrated right into the downtube. With options for personalized chassis configurations, the ENVE Fray is one of the few bikes that allows you to pick your ideal fork size, headset and more. Please note that a specific seatpost is required and will need to be purchased separately. The ENVE Fray is a new name in the endurance performance game.
