DMT Pogi's Road Shoe Info

The DMT Pogi's Road Shoe is the signature race shoe DMT built around Tadej Pogačar, who wore it winning both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France in 2024. The sole is DMT's Super Light carbon construction, cut with ventilation ports but stiff enough that reviewers haven't detected any flex even during hard sprints or out-of-saddle efforts. At roughly 220 grams in a size 42, it's genuinely light for a shoe built to hold up to Grand Tour-level power output. The upper is a one-piece Engineered 3D Knit — a sock-like, seamless construction that varies its knit thickness across the foot, adding support where it's needed and leaving the rest open for airflow.

Lacing runs through DMT's AeroSafe system: a clip secures the laces, the excess gets tied into a traditional bow, and the whole thing tucks into an integrated pocket built into the tongue so there's no loose lace flapping at speed. DMT includes a spare set of laces in white and orange in the box. The left shoe's heel holds DMT's Ice-Key feature — an embedded NFC chip carrying the wearer's medical and biographical information, so first responders can access relevant details after a crash without searching for ID. Cleat position adjusts across 8mm front-to-back, enough range to fine-tune foot position without needing a different sole.

Fit runs narrow — closer to a snug European race last than a wide American one — though true to size for riders who fit that shape. The knit upper is genuinely breathable but shows dust and moisture more visibly than a treated synthetic upper would, so it's not the shoe to expect to stay pristine white through a full season of riding, and riders running aftermarket insoles should check they don't block the sole's ventilation cutouts. RA Cycles carries the Pogi's in White, sized 37 through 48. For a rider who wants the actual shoe worn to two Grand Tour titles and doesn't mind a narrow fit, this is DMT's top-tier race shoe.

The RA Perspective

We sell this to riders who want the exact shoe Pogačar raced to two Grand Tour wins in 2024, and it earns that reputation — the carbon sole is genuinely stiff, and we haven't had complaints about flex from anyone pushing hard efforts in these.

The fit is the thing to know going in. These run narrow, closer to a race-oriented European last, and riders with wider feet should size up or try them on before committing rather than ordering blind. If your foot shape matches, they lock in well with no pressure points; if it doesn't, no amount of lace adjustment fixes a last that's too narrow.

The knit upper looks great out of the box but doesn't stay that way. It picks up road grime and discoloration faster than a treated synthetic would, so if you're precious about keeping shoes looking new, this isn't that shoe — it's built to perform, not to stay showroom-clean.

The Ice-Key NFC chip is a small detail we appreciate more than we expected to. It's not something you think about until you need it, and it's a genuinely useful safety feature for anyone riding solo on longer routes.

We'd recommend this to a rider chasing race-day performance and comfortable with a narrow fit, not someone shopping primarily on aesthetics or all-day gravel comfort.
