The BonkaCento is a low volume cycling jacket intended for the harshest winter conditions. For the chest and upper arm sections of the jacket, Assos uses their innovative TwinDeckFoiling system. It combines two intelligent fabrics to keep you warm and dry no matter how terrible the riding conditions are. The Assos TwinDeckFoiling works when they use their stratagonUltra for the exterior of the jacket and their RXQ fabric for the plush, sweat-wicking interior; and unlike all other winter jackets, the two materials are not sandwiched together with glue.  For the exterior, stratagonUltra is a new generation of laminated fabric which is lighter and more breathable than typical laminated materials.  It actually detects the level of moisture buildup within the jacket and allows the pores to breathe more when needed.  Nevertheless, it remains impermeable to any exterior moisture due to mist, rain or snow.  Meanwhile, the RXQ fabric is a microfiber insulator that has a brushed fleece structure.  It acts as an amazing airlock insulator next to the skin because the innovative hollow micro-polyester fibers provide a 3D air-channel structure. The resulting air cushion helps keep the body well ventilated and temperature controlled.

The area inside the collar also features an ergonomically shaped inner-layer turtleneck.  Since it contours to the chest perfectly, you will be able to ventilate on climbs, for instance, without completely exposing your baselayers to the chill of the outdoors.  The rear of the jacket features the Assos RX fabric to aid in the ventilation of the bonka. The rear panel is made from Assos RX fleecy material that will be warm, but not too warm and allow your body to ventilate properly to prevent overheating. The back of the jacket also has the Assos rear stabilizer panel integrated which promotes a perfect fit, reducing any vertical stretch to the jacket even when the pockets are fully loaded.  There are three traditional patch pockets which include two extra zipper safety pockets. The side panels and lower arms are made out of the ASSOS airBlock membrane textile, stratagonMedium. As the name suggests, it’s a little less substantial than the stratagonUltra, keeping the ventilation properties of the material at the forefront.
