Zipp Contour SL Road Bar Info
The Zipp Contour SL Road Bar is both contoured and Super Light. The way they achieve this is by employing carbon-fiber, smart shaping, and a lay-up that maximizes both stiffness and comfort.It's light, at 190g for the 42cm width. The tops are flattened for comfort. There are grooves underneath for smooth and hidden cable housing routing. This flattened shape is the contour portion of the bar.
The bars hooks are designed in a semi-ergo compact shape, with a fairly flat ramp at the top, giving you 84.5mm of reach and then a flattened hook that drops 128mm. The hooks follow oval, rather than round, shape both for comfort and strength, giving you good reason to stay longer in the lowest, aero position you can maintain.
The clamping area width is 48mm. Some carbon-fiber bars are designed to work with clip-on aero bars. Note that these are not.
