Rotor Q-Rings for Direct Mount Info
Rotor has designed Q-Rings for all their cranks. Here, you’ll find the Direct Mount Q-rings they’ve designed to work with the thru-axles of R-Hawk and R-Raptor cranks. They’re made out of CNC-machined 7075 T-6 aluminum and have the narrow-wide alternation that helps keep the chain from unshipping even in the most demanding conditions. Thanks to Rotor’s machining knowhow, these are lighter and stiffer than just about everything else. They save approximately 40g thanks to the elimination of the spider and chainring bolts. The 30-tooth ring weighs 67g
The ovality of these chainrings is 12.5%This is moderate ovality in the world of Rotor. It is oval enough to give you a big power boost, but no so oval that it’s hard to adapt to.
These chainrings mount directly onto the splined thru-axle spindle. You just slide on the ring you need. Thanks to the splines and anodized markings, you can set the OCP, Optimum Chainring Position, to pretty much anything. You can thus precisely tune the high and low points of the oval ring to mesh perfectly with your pedal stroke. Once you have the ring in place, you slide on the right crankarm and secure it to the spindle. It holds perfectly.
The R-Hawk and R-Rotor Direct Mount Q-Rings are available in 34, 32, 30, 28, 26 tooth options. They’re designed to work with nine-, ten- and eleven-speed 1x derailleur systems.
