Generous tire clearance is tuned around modern 35–46 mm gravel tires, so you can build it as an aero all-road weapon or a race-ready gravel rig without ever feeling like you compromised.

Underneath the clean lines is very serious engineering: a carefully balanced high-end carbon layup for stiffness where you push, compliance where you need relief, a T47 threaded bottom bracket for quiet, creak-free miles, and UDH compatibility so you can run the latest drivetrains and keep hanger replacements simple. • 1x Shimano GRX Di2 RX820 for modern gravel racing and adventure – wide range, simple cockpit, and rock-solid chain control when things get loose.
• MTB-style 1x with Shimano XTR Di2 M9250 or XT Di2 M8250 for riders pushing deeper into rough trails and technical terrain who want true mountain-bike toughness on a drop-bar chassis.

Our OPEN U.P.PER. 2.0 Shimano Di2 Custom Bike builder lets you see your dream bike come to life in real time. You choose your Di2 platform, wheelset, cockpit, tires, saddle, and finishing kit, and the tool shows you the build and the pricing as you go. It’s meant to feel like sitting down with an expert and sketching your perfect bike, but with instant visuals and live numbers.

That said, the builder can’t show every possible option we have access to. If you don’t see the exact bar width, tire, rotor size, or wheelset you’re imagining, that doesn’t mean it’s off the table. Use the bike builder to get close, then email us, jump on live chat, or call the shop – we’re more than happy to fine-tune the details or propose options you didn’t even know existed.

About timelines, lead times, and real-world logistics

One important thing to know: the online builder does not calculate timelines or parts lead times. It’s a powerful vision and pricing tool, but it doesn’t know if a specific cassette or wheel is in our Brooklyn store, in another warehouse, or needs to be special ordered.

After you place your order, an RA Custom Studios consultant will reach out by email or phone. Together, we’ll walk through your U.P.PER. 2.0 Di2 build line by line – confirming fit, cockpit sizing, gearing choices, tire volume, and any small preferences that only come up in a real conversation. At that point we’ll also review timelines to source every component and to professionally assemble the bike. Some items may be special order or limited, and we’ll be crystal clear if anything could slow the build down.

Your card will sit in an authorization state only after checkout. We won’t capture payment or start charging your card until:

• We’ve reviewed the full build with you,
• You’ve approved the final specification, and
• You understand and agree to the estimated timeline.

Once we’re aligned, we move your project into our workshop schedule.
