The Oakley Meta Vanguard Glasses are the first Oakley-designed frame built for Meta's smart glasses platform — and they're built with cyclists in mind. Where most smart glasses compromise optical quality for electronics, the Vanguard delivers Oakley's Prizm lens technology alongside a 12MP camera, open-ear audio, and Meta AI in a wraparound, helmet-compatible frame. The camera captures 12MP stills at 3024×4032 resolution and records 720p video at 120fps with a 122° ultrawide field of view. Footage and photos live in 32GB of onboard storage — no phone required to shoot. For riders logging miles on Garmin or Strava, the Vanguard integrates directly: it auto-captures ride data and can surface a workout overlay while you ride. Meta AI responds to "Hey Meta" for navigation, questions, or visual identification without touching a device.

The open-ear speaker system runs 6dB louder than the Ray-Ban Meta frames, backed by a five-microphone array that cuts through wind and road noise on calls and voice commands. Controls sit on the underside of the arm — two buttons and a volume slider positioned where your fingers land naturally with a helmet on. Battery life reaches 9 hours from the frame itself, extending to 45 hours total with the USB-C charging case. IP67 water resistance covers rain and sweat, though the Vanguard is not rated for submersion or high-speed water exposure.
