The XLAB Gorilla Carbon Bottle Cage is built around one job: keeping your bottle exactly where you put it. Six gripping fingers deliver around seven pounds of retention force, and a stiff hook at the top locks the bottle in place until you deliberately pull it out — a real advantage in rear-cage setups where road vibration and rough terrain are constant threats to a secure fit.
Constructed from carbon fiber, the cage weighs just 39 grams without sacrificing grip strength. Tall sides accommodate larger bottles, and the thicker carbon construction contributes to a noticeably firmer hold than lighter, thinner alternatives. Available in Black, Matte Black, Red/Black, and White/Black. Note: bottles with a consistent circumferential groove near the top — such as the XLAB Aqua-Shot — seat most reliably in this cage. Bottles with irregular upper profiles may not engage the hook as securely.
