SRAM Red 22 Yaw Outer Chainring Info
When a drivetrain starts skipping or hesitating on the front shift, the chainring is often the first place to look. The SRAM Red 22 Yaw Outer Chainring is a direct replacement — or upgrade — built specifically for SRAM's Yaw front derailleur system, with tooth profiles, ramps, and shift pins engineered to work in step with 11-speed SRAM chains.
The Yaw derailleur pivots laterally as it moves between rings, keeping the cage aligned with the chain throughout the shift. For that geometry to work cleanly, the chainring has to match — this ring is designed around that pivot motion, which is why running a compatible SRAM outer ring matters more here than in conventional front shifting systems. This 46t variant pairs with a 36t inner ring and fits a 110mm BCD spider, making it compatible with Red 22 and Force 22 mechanical and eTap groupsets.
