Solid shoes. I have a wide foot, and they fit me well. I am a 13/14 in any given brand, and with a 48 they fit snug at first, but after a ride or two, they feel great. Love the toe-cap, and they grip my pedals well. The heel has an elastic cuff that keeps them securely in place. If you've owned Shimano shoes in the past and have been happy, you'll love these.
