SeaSucker Talon Bike Rack Info
The SeaSucker Talon Bike Rack ditches the rails entirely — instead of clamping to a roof rack system, it bonds directly to your car's roof using oversized 6-inch marine-grade suction cups rated to 210 lbs of pull force each. No crossbars, no permanent hardware, no problem. When you're done, the whole rack folds down small enough to disappear into a bag in your boot.
The rack comes in two sections: a fork mount built around a Delta Bike Hitch Pro fork mount for standard 9mm fork tips, seated on half-inch HDPE board backed by three suction cups, and a rear wheel tray with a single cup and a hook-and-loop strap. Each cup has a built-in thumb pump with a visual safety indicator — a line that reappears when pressure has dropped enough to warrant re-pumping. Placement matters: mounting along the reinforced sides of the roof, with the fork mount spanning the roof edge and window glass, gives the cups the most stable surface. The bike rides forward-facing. Max recommended bike weight is 45 lbs, and SeaSucker has tested the setup to 140 mph.
