Rotor Q-Spidering Direct Mount Chainrings Info
The Rotor Q-Spidering Direct Mount Chainrings start as a solid block of 7075 aluminum and end as a one-piece, four-arm spider and dual chainring — machined from a single billet rather than assembled from separate parts. That construction eliminates the weight and flex points of a conventional spider-plus-chainring setup, with Rotor claiming a 30g saving over their own standard offerings.
The teeth are shaped to ease front shifting, with ramps and pins on the inner face of the outer ring to lift and drop the chain cleanly. Mounting is direct to the Rotor Aldhu bottom bracket via a splined interface, secured by the right crank arm — no chainring bolts, no separate spider, nothing redundant. The 52/36 version weighs 168g, and a complete 170mm Aldhu crank build with the 50/34 Q-Spidering comes in at 599g.
