The Rotor Q-Rings QCarbon 110bcd Outer Chainring takes Rotor's well-established oval ring concept and builds it from a CNC-machined aluminium skeleton reinforced with 3K carbon fibre — the result is a chainring that is 20% stiffer and 8% lighter than Rotor's standard aluminium Q-Rings. The oval geometry is designed to work with your pedal stroke rather than against it, easing through the dead spot and loading up leverage where your legs are producing the most force.
Rotor's oval rings use a 10% ovality profile, which on a 52-tooth ring means the effective gear varies between approximately 50 and 54 teeth across each revolution. This is intended to reduce muscular fatigue over longer efforts by smoothing the power demand throughout the stroke. Up to five mounting positions let you dial in the ring's orientation to match your individual biomechanics — four positions on the 50-tooth variant. Available in 50t and 52t, both fitting a standard 110mm BCD five-arm road crank.
