Pivot Shuttle AM Ride Eagle 70/90 Bike w/Range Extender Info

The Pivot Shuttle AM Ride Eagle 70/90 Bike w/Range Extender is the entry point into Pivot's Shuttle AM lineup, the all-mountain e-bike Pivot builds to climb with real assist and descend with trail-bike composure. Pivot spec's the Ride build with a carbon front triangle and an alloy rear triangle to hit a lower price point without changing the bike's travel numbers — 160mm up front through a RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork, 150mm out back through a RockShox Super Deluxe Select shock. It's the same chassis and geometry as the higher-spec Shuttle AM builds, just dressed in a more accessible component package.

Power comes from Bosch's Gen 5 Performance Line CX motor, running on an 800Wh internal battery with the PowerMore 250 range extender included in this build — a bottle-shaped, 3.3-pound unit that bolts to the frame for another 250Wh without meaningfully changing the bike's balance. The Bosch Flow app switches between Turbo, Sport, and eMTB-shortcrank modes, or hands pacing to the newer eMTB+ mode, which reads pedal input and trail conditions in real time and adjusts assist accordingly. With the range extender built into the spec rather than sold separately, this build is set up for long days from the start.

The drivetrain uses SRAM's Eagle 70/90 Mechanical Transmission — a cable-actuated version of SRAM's hangerless drivetrain platform, mounting the Eagle 90 rear derailleur directly to the frame instead of through a replaceable hanger. It doesn't have AXS's wireless shifting, but it keeps the structural benefit that matters most on an e-bike: no small aluminum bracket taking the brunt of high-torque shifts and hard impacts. It's paired with a 10-52t XS-1270 cassette and Eagle 70 Flattop chain, run through an FSA CK-747/IS crankset with a 34t ring. SRAM DB8 Stealth four-piston brakes on 200mm Centerline rotors provide the stopping power, a more budget-oriented caliper than the Maven line on Pivot's higher Shuttle AM builds but still sized to handle the weight and speed of a mid-drive e-bike.

Suspension and rolling stock follow the same value-focused logic as the drivetrain. The Lyrik Select+ fork and Super Deluxe Select shock are RockShox's mid-tier enduro dampers — less externally adjustable than the Ultimate versions on Pivot's Pro build, but built on the same chassis and travel figures. DT Swiss E532 aluminum wheels replace the carbon rims found higher in the range, wrapped in the same Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires in 3C/EXO+/MaxxTerra casings that Pivot runs across the entire Shuttle AM lineup — a front-specific, rear-specific pairing built for aggressive all-mountain riding regardless of which build you're on.

Cockpit and contact points are Pivot's own Phoenix components, with an aluminum Race Low Rise handlebar on a Team Enduro/Trail stem, a Pivot Ride E-Bike saddle, and a dropper post that scales from 150mm on a small frame to 200mm on a large or XL. Geometry runs a 64.1 to 64.5-degree head angle and 76.5 to 76.9-degree seat angle across the size run, identical to the rest of the Shuttle AM range. The Shuttle AM Ride Eagle 70/90 Bike w/Range Extender is for riders who want the full-power assist, big-mountain range, and hangerless drivetrain durability of the Shuttle AM platform without paying for carbon wheels or wireless shifting, available in Badlands Brown from size S to XL.

The RA Perspective

We think the Ride Eagle 70/90 is the smart entry point into the Shuttle AM range if you don't need wireless shifting or carbon wheels to enjoy the bike. The mechanical Eagle Transmission drivetrain still mounts directly to the frame, which means you get the same hangerless durability as the AXS builds — you're just turning a barrel adjuster occasionally instead of pairing a phone app.

The RockShox Lyrik Select+ and Super Deluxe Select won't have quite the small-bump sensitivity of the Ultimate-level dampers on the Pro and Team builds, and the alloy rear triangle adds a bit of weight over the full-carbon frames higher in the range. Most riders won't notice either on the trail; it's more apparent if you're switching back and forth between builds in the same day.

Where this build doesn't cut corners is the motor and battery. It's the same Bosch Gen 5 Performance Line CX system with the range extender included, so you're not giving up assist or range to save money — just some suspension refinement and drivetrain weight.

This is the build we point value-conscious riders toward when they want a full-power Shuttle AM for real all-mountain days, not just a lighter, cheaper e-bike with a smaller battery.
