Look designed this generation of the Blade around real-world results rather than wind tunnel numbers alone. The Ultra High Modulus carbon frame weighs 890 grams with a 340-gram fork, and Look estimates roughly 205 watts of aerodynamic drag under the Tour Magazin test protocol, a figure the brand says represents a 15-watt savings and 160 grams less than the previous 795 Blade RS. Complete bikes on this platform start from 6.9 kilograms, and that low weight paired with the aero shaping means the frame doesn't punish you on a climb the way some deep-aero road bikes do. It accelerates cleanly out of corners and holds speed on flat sections without asking you to work harder for it.
The Ultegra Di2 build brings 12-speed electronic shifting from the R8150 front and rear derailleurs and R8170 shifters, run through a 52/36 Ultegra R8100 crankset and an 11-34 cassette, which gives this bike enough range for long climbs without giving up much on the top end.
