The HED Carbon Extension is built for riders who know that position is where aero gains live — and that no single bend suits every body. HED offers two bend profiles in carbon, letting you dial in the arm position that actually reduces drag for your anatomy rather than forcing a compromise.
The Lazy S-Bend is designed for riders who find a slightly higher, more relaxed hand position lowers their shoulders and lets them drop their head into a cleaner tuck — a position that sounds passive but often produces real aerodynamic results. The S-Bend offers a more traditional profile suited to a forward-angled forearm and neutral wrist. Both variants share the same 22mm diameter, 100g-per-pair weight, and carbon construction. If you need to shorten them, cut from the non-shifter end only — cutting from the shifter end will prevent the shifter from seating correctly.
