CeramicSpeed OSPW RS Alpha Team Shimano Dura-Ace 9250/Ultegra 8150 Info

The CeramicSpeed OSPW RS Alpha Team Shimano Dura-Ace 9250/Ultegra 8150 replaces the stock rear derailleur pulley cage with CeramicSpeed's most modern OSPW platform, built specifically for Shimano's Dura-Ace Di2 R9250 and Ultegra Di2 R8150 groupsets. CeramicSpeed redesigned the RS with a more angular, contemporary shape to match the look of current bikes and groupsets, and reinforced the cage itself for greater strength and durability compared to earlier OSPW generations — this isn't just a cosmetic update.

The Team edition runs CeramicSpeed's ALPHA Disc pulley wheels, a two-piece design that pairs a composite narrow-wide tooth profile for wear resistance and quieter running with a solid aluminum disc that closes off the space between the spokes. That solid disc keeps debris from lodging inside the wheel while adding stiffness to the pulley itself — a design CeramicSpeed first proved in cyclocross World Cup racing before bringing it to the road. Alongside the ALPHA Disc, the system uses CeramicSpeed's patented ADR technology, where an anchored dust cover fully encloses the bearing and a bladed groove around it actively flings debris off the pulley wheel as it spins, rather than letting it collect near the bearing seal.

Four customizable spring tension settings let you set cage tension to match your riding style and terrain, and CeramicSpeed's ADR and ALPHA Disc combination won a 2025 Taipei Cycle d&i award for its bearing protection design. The Team edition adds an oversized CeramicSpeed logo to the disc for a more visible finish, and it's available in Black and Silver. It's a direct bolt-on upgrade for Dura-Ace or Ultegra Di2 riders who want lower drivetrain friction along with real protection against dirt and debris working its way into the pulley bearings.

The RA Perspective

The ADR technology is the reason we point riders toward the RS Alpha over CeramicSpeed's standard pulley options. The debris protection is a real, tested feature — CeramicSpeed developed the solid disc design through cyclocross World Cup racing, which is about as harsh a proving ground for mud and debris as exists in the sport, and it earned an actual design award for the approach.

The reinforced cage matters more than it sounds like on paper. Older OSPW cages could feel a little fragile if you clipped a pulley on a rock or a curb; this version is built to take that kind of hit without needing a replacement.

The Team logo is purely cosmetic — if you'd rather keep a lower profile, CeramicSpeed also sells this same system without the oversized branding, worth knowing if the Team look isn't your style.

We'd recommend this upgrade to Dura-Ace or Ultegra Di2 riders who ride in variable conditions and want the debris protection specifically, not just riders chasing marginal watts on a dry, clean road.
